A Little about Tattered Inspirations

Tattered Inspirations is a little business which aims to provide products with a vintage heart to use in your crafts - be it scrapbooking, card making or other crafty pursuits.

The Tattered Inspirations shop is here
Tattered Inspirations

Markets - we will keep you informed as we have no idea when we will be able ot go to the Old Bus Depot due to their rennovations. once I know I will pop it here :)

The business is only tiny and is not in any way out to make lots of money but rather to offer products to compliment the usual supplies available by big companies.

The Design Team Rachel Walsh, Belinda Comerford, Kathy Marchant, Daniella Tassone and Suzie Lowe creatively use the products to show people what can be done - and I treasure their input and design work immensly.

Thank you for dropping by, we aim to encourage and inspire you to do something different out of your comfort zone, in new and exciting ways.

new items and lots to show you

Before I chat about Tattered Inspirations and what we are doing I would like to tell you about a champion - Angie Ballard is the daughter of my good friend Kristin Ballard. Angie had a car accident when she was 7 years old and has competed in the Para Olympics for many years. So this time around Angie won 2 silvers and 1 bronze medal and came 5th in her only other event. Angie you are a total champion - congratulations!

Angie Ballard - Champion!
As you can see I have not updated this for some time - it does not mean we have not been busy - the August sale in the shop was huge and we made way for new stock! And we have now completed 2 markets with the Old Bus Depot and I have another this weekend. WOW!! The best thing is meeting people and chatting away with them and the stall holders. So if you are in the area please pop in and say hello. It was great meeting Chris R at the last markets and my friend Di and her family also popped in.
The markets are getting busier and I guess as it comes up for Christmas I will really notice an increase of interest - I must say I am surprised and the numbers of people who don't scrap but buy things for friends and loved ones who do! Also people are buying things and using them in other crafts, flowers to make broches nad shoe decorations.... and kids love those cameos, Buz Lightyear and Hello Kitty! One family was doing a tribute album for their dear gran who passed away recently. They have never scrapped before! What a wonderful tribute.

So the market days look like this at the moment:
  • 16th Sptember - Tharwa
  • 14th October - Old Bus Depot Kingston
  • 18th November - Old Bus Depot Kingston
  • 1st December - Old Bus Depot Kingston
  • 2nd December - Old Bus Depot Kingston
In September we have launched these cuties...... little tea sets that just are so sweet...... porcelain, hand finished and totally cute. And they are selling really well!

Our Guest designer for the month of September was Jenni McKinder and she used a great kit called 'Its a boy thing' .... now this kit is a bit special because it has a piece of embroidered tablecloth in it which my Mum did when she was 12. The cloth had seen better days- it had been used so much it was threadbare - so instead of throwing it out (eeeek) it ripped off the edges and popped the embroidery in the kit.
