A Little about Tattered Inspirations

Tattered Inspirations is a little business which aims to provide products with a vintage heart to use in your crafts - be it scrapbooking, card making or other crafty pursuits.

The Tattered Inspirations shop is here
Tattered Inspirations

Markets - we will keep you informed as we have no idea when we will be able ot go to the Old Bus Depot due to their rennovations. once I know I will pop it here :)

The business is only tiny and is not in any way out to make lots of money but rather to offer products to compliment the usual supplies available by big companies.

The Design Team Rachel Walsh, Belinda Comerford, Kathy Marchant, Daniella Tassone and Suzie Lowe creatively use the products to show people what can be done - and I treasure their input and design work immensly.

Thank you for dropping by, we aim to encourage and inspire you to do something different out of your comfort zone, in new and exciting ways.

I have begun

Okay it is with small quiet and interesting steps but I have actually begun a mixed media journey and because my other blogs are so large I thought I would start this blog for this journey alone.

I am a scrapbooker, watercolour painter, potter and now I am trying my hand at mixed media. Seeing where that journey leads me to......

My other blogs are below if you want to visit..... please do!

A Taste of Honey (srapping blog)

Scribbly Gums Art (Art Blog)

I don't know if I can going to cringe when I look at these pics later but here are a couple of pics so far! They are my starting spot...... improvements will happen as I get more comfortable.

My journal - I can see this is one of many I may have in this art
My fave BG papers and I am loving Jo Sonya's Rose Gold
acrylic paint at the moment

This is called Lost at Sea
My very first art work in mixed media
It is actually larger than the scan would allow - but you get the picture...

The Victorian bushfires were so devastating ....
this was created with thoughts to that tragedy

This was something I created last week when Phil and I tried to save a
little sugar glider at Scribbly Gums,
unfortunately he was too badly injured...... It affected both of us for a few days.
I went a bit Sugar Glider mad for some time and did some paintings
and created this piece as well.....
we all get things out of our system in different ways I guess!

Anyway I am enjoying this interesting art form - and will continue to create and see where it leads me.......

Cheers
C

  1. Great work, Carol. I love your blog and will put it on my blog roll. You probably already know about the Mixed Media Monday challenge which is always great fun with a nice bunch of people taking part. Nice to meet a fellow Aussie. Cheers from Marie in Perth.
