A Little about Tattered Inspirations

Tattered Inspirations is a little business which aims to provide products with a vintage heart to use in your crafts - be it scrapbooking, card making or other crafty pursuits.

The Tattered Inspirations shop is here
Tattered Inspirations

Markets - we will keep you informed as we have no idea when we will be able ot go to the Old Bus Depot due to their rennovations. once I know I will pop it here :)

The business is only tiny and is not in any way out to make lots of money but rather to offer products to compliment the usual supplies available by big companies.

The Design Team Rachel Walsh, Belinda Comerford, Kathy Marchant, Daniella Tassone and Suzie Lowe creatively use the products to show people what can be done - and I treasure their input and design work immensly.

Thank you for dropping by, we aim to encourage and inspire you to do something different out of your comfort zone, in new and exciting ways.

the Art of Abandonment

Well some of you may know and others, perhaps not, that I have joined a world wide movement called Art Abandoment.

There are lots of points about it that I love:
  • It is free
  • It is self pacedIt is sneaky
  • And it is appreciated
So what is it exactly - simply that you leave art abandoned ready for someone to find - there is a note to say what it is and and email to encourage them so say they found it - but other than that it is a great feeling letting go your art into the universe for people to find.........

People leave all sorts of thing.... mixed media (that is what I do), paintings, jewellry, mosaic rocks, ATCs and 3d stuff such as bird houses, dolls, sewn items....... whatever people enjoy making

I sort of wondered how things would go in Australia - we are out there but also a bit reticent .... but it is going so well it is awesome. I know about 2 of my works being picked up - I have left about 8 ...... they are wrapped and have a card attached with the logo.

I have met lots of lovely people too .... and sent some works to Aurora, Colorado through Jennifer in this time of tragedy. If you do art then I think it is up to you to make the world a bit more beautiful - don't you?

Here is the link on facebook

Why don't you join up too..... and spread some art, and love, around. The joy is in the giving and knowing the universe will send the right person to find it..... and we cannot ask more than that.

Lots of love til next time
Carol
